Standards

Editorial standards, corrections and ethics

We grade the market on independence and disclosure. This is the same standard applied to us, in public, so you can check the work.

Sourcing

How a number gets published here

Every figure we print carries its publisher, its sample size, its field dates where the source published them, and a link to the primary document. If the source did not publish a field date, we say so in the chart footer rather than estimating one.

We prefer primary research over aggregator write-ups. When a widely repeated statistic has no primary document we can locate, it does not get charted. Those cases are listed in the "what we looked for and did not find" box on the relevant research theme.

Vendor-funded research is labelled as vendor-funded. It can still be useful, but it is graded on the same four independence tests we apply to everyone else, including ourselves.

Corrections

Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we fix it on the page and say what changed. Corrections are appended to the bottom of the affected issue or research theme with the date and a plain description of the error, and the original wording is described rather than quietly deleted.

Material errors, meaning any error that changes the decision a reader would make, are also noted in the next weekly issue. Minor errors such as typos and broken links are fixed silently.

To report an error, email coach@therevenueaireport.com with the URL and the specific claim. We will respond, and if you are right we will publish the correction with attribution unless you ask us not to.

Ethics

Ethics and sponsorship firewall

One sponsor per issue. No sponsor sees an issue before it goes out, no sponsor selects a case, and no sponsor buys a paragraph. Sponsor placement sits next to the evidence, never inside it, and is always labelled.

Conflicts are disclosed at the point of coverage, not buried. The editor has personal and professional relationships with dozens of companies, startups, and enterprises such as Momentum, Salesforce, 1mind, Spiky.ai, Luster.ai, GTMBuddy.ai, Recapped.io, Bryant University and more in the GTM AI Market. The analysis is independent and objective. No company receives favorable treatment, no company is covered without third-party evidence, and no company sees issues before they ship.

We do not accept payment to include, exclude, soften or delay coverage of any company. We do not publish anonymous vendor attacks. Named operators may speak on background, but the numbers must be verifiable.

Voices

Diversity of sources and voices

Coverage is cut for eight seats: sales, marketing, RevOps and GTM engineering, enablement, customer success, partnerships and business development, exec and founders, and revenue finance. A case is not finished until it has been read from more than one seat.

We actively seek operators outside the usual Bay Area enterprise sample, including mid-market teams, non-US teams, and functions that rarely get quoted in AI coverage such as enablement and revenue finance.

Sources are chosen on evidence, not on audience size. A director with real numbers outranks an executive with a narrative.

AI use

How we use AI ourselves

AI tools assist with research retrieval, drafting and formatting. Every claim, quote and figure that reaches publication is checked by a human against the primary source.

No issue is published as raw model output. If AI materially shaped an analysis, the method is described in the issue.
