Autonomous experiment engine (L5)

Creative and landing page variants are generated, launched, measured, and retired without a human approving each cycle, inside strict brand and claim guardrails. Humans set the guardrails and read the results.

The steps

  1. 01

Freeze the claim and brand guardrails

    Tool: Manual

Approved claim list, banned phrases, mandatory disclaimers, and asset rules. The engine may recombine approved claims and may never author a new one. Owner: product marketing plus legal. DoD: guardrail file is machine readable and enforced pre-launch.

  2. 02

    Define stopping rules before launch

    Tool: Optimizely

Minimum sample, maximum spend, and the metric that decides. Without pre-registered rules the engine will chase noise and you will not notice for a quarter. Pitfall: optimizing to click through while pipeline falls. DoD: stopping rules configured per experiment class.

  3. 03

    Bound the blast radius

    Tool: Google Ads

Cap the share of spend and traffic the engine controls, for example twenty percent. The rest runs on human approved assets as a control. Owner: demand gen lead. DoD: spend cap enforced in platform settings.

  4. 04

    Publish a weekly results ledger

    Tool: Manual

Every experiment launched, its result, and its disposition, including the losers. A ledger that only shows wins is marketing fiction. Owner: marketing ops. DoD: ledger published weekly with all outcomes.
