Momentum.io call-to-CRM autofill (L3)

Momentum.io listens to every sales call (Zoom/Meet/Gong), extracts MEDDPICC fields, next steps, risks, and competitor mentions, and writes them back into Salesforce/HubSpot deal records, automatically. Reps stop CRM-updating; managers get reliable pipeline data.

The steps

  1. 01

Map your deal fields to Momentum

    Tool: Momentum

Before connecting Momentum, agree on which CRM fields you actually use: Champion, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identified Pain, Competition, Next Step. Trim to what your forecast process really needs, Momentum will only auto-fill what you map. Owner: RevOps + Sales leadership. Time: 1 workshop. Pitfall: trying to auto-fill 30 fields, accuracy drops, reps stop trusting it. DoD: a 1-page mapping doc: "Momentum field → CRM field → who consumes it".

  2. 02

Connect Momentum to CRM + call recorders

    Tool: Salesforce

Install Momentum's native Salesforce/HubSpot app + connect Gong/Chorus/Zoom recordings. Use OAuth as a service account, not a person, when reps leave you don't want auto-updates to die. Grant write access to the agreed-upon fields only. Use Salesforce Field-Level Security to enforce. Owner: RevOps + SFDC admin. Pitfall: granting Momentum write access to ALL fields, first time it overwrites Close Date you lose trust forever. DoD: test deal shows MEDDPICC fields populated within 15 min of a recorded call.

  3. 03

Post AI deal summaries to Slack

    Tool: Slack

Configure Momentum's Slack app to post per-deal summaries to a #deals-{region} channel after every external call: 3 bullets of what happened, what changed in the deal, top risk. Managers read the channel in 5 min/day, replacing 1:1 "what's going on with X account" meetings. Owner: RevOps. DoD: every deal >$25k has a Momentum post within 1 hour of each call.

  4. 04

    Weekly "trust audit"

    Tool: Manual

For the first 4 weeks, rep + manager pick 5 random Momentum-updated deals per week and grade the AI updates 1,5 for accuracy. Score <4 → adjust the field mapping or prompt. After accuracy stays >4 for 2 weeks, reduce audit to monthly. Owner: Sales manager. Pitfall: "set and forget" on day 1, accuracy needs tuning before you trust the forecast. DoD: 4 consecutive weeks of audit scores >4.
