Notion AI + Claude for company knowledge ops (L2)

Stop people from re-asking the same 100 questions in Slack. Centralize docs in Notion, enable Notion AI Q&A, and run a weekly \"What got asked in Slack that should be a doc?\" ritual driven by Claude scanning #ask-* channels.

The steps

  1. 01

Consolidate docs in ONE Notion workspace

    Tool: Notion

Stop pretending Google Docs + Notion + Confluence + Coda can coexist. Pick Notion (or Confluence, just pick one). Migrate the top 100 most-referenced docs first. Owner: COS / Ops. Time: 2,3 weeks. Pitfall: trying to migrate everything, you'll never finish. Top 100 by access frequency is 90% of the value. DoD: every doc linked in your last 30 days of Slack lives in Notion.

  2. 02

Enable Notion AI with the whole workspace as context

    Tool: Notion AI

Turn on Notion AI Q&A across the workspace. Test it with the 20 most common questions from #ask-anything ("What's our PTO policy", "how do I get a Brex card"). For each wrong answer, find the doc that should've answered it and improve the doc, don't fight the AI, fix the source. Owner: COS + each team lead. DoD: 18+ of 20 test questions answered correctly by Notion AI.

  3. 03

    Weekly "doc-the-Slack-questions" ritual

    Tool: Claude

Every Friday, COS exports last 7 days of #ask-* channels (use Slack export or a small Zapier flow). Paste into Claude with prompt: "What questions were asked here that don't have a corresponding doc? Group similar questions. For each, write a one-paragraph doc skeleton." Spend 30 min publishing 3,5 new docs. Owner: COS. DoD: every week, at least 3 new Notion docs are published from real Slack questions; #ask-* repeat-question rate trends down.

  4. 04

Make "ask Notion AI first" the default

    Tool: Slack

Add a Slackbot reply: when someone posts a question in #ask-anything, the bot suggests asking Notion AI first and links to the workspace search. Cultural shift takes ~6 weeks. The COS publicly thanks people who post both their Notion AI search + the gap they found. Owner: COS + leadership models it. DoD: 50%+ of #ask-* posts in month 3 include "I checked Notion AI and...".
