Gong Enrich Puts Contact Data on a BYOK-vs-Gong-Credits Waterfall, and Deep Mode Estimates 1,000–3,000 Credits per Research. Which Order Form Lines Do We Name Before Flow Auto-Enrich Goes Live?

Enrich is dual-wallet: BYOK partner results do not burn Gong credits (partner bills you); Gong-provided partners burn 1 Gong credit per successful email or phone return (per type), still charged if email fails validation. Empty lookups, skipped partners, connection errors, and account enrichment do not charge. Flow ruleset auto-enrich uses the same rules and sits outside personal monthly caps. Deep Mode estimates 1,000-3,000 credits per research on the same company pool. Name Enrich / Deep Mode feature caps and the company pool before flow auto-enrich goes live.

Why trust this analysis?

The short answer

When Gong Enrich burns partner BYOK wallets first and Gong Credits only for Gong-provided partners, and Deep Mode estimates 1,000-3,000 credits per research, which Order Form lines and Enrich/Deep Mode feature caps do we name before flow auto-enrich goes live?

Enrich is dual-wallet per help.gong.io How Enrich consumes credits (Sep 30): BYOK connections do not consume Gong credits (partner bills you under your agreement); Gong-provided partners burn 1 Gong credit when a partner successfully returns an email or a phone (charged per type; still charged if a returned email fails validation). No Gong credit for empty lookups, partners skipped after an earlier hit, connection/system errors, pre-query verification failure, or account enrichment. Mix BYOK and Gong-provided partners in the same waterfall; credits burn only on Gong-provided partner results. Same credit rules for manual Enrich and flow ruleset Enrich; flow auto-enrich is not counted against individual monthly credit-profile limits (those caps apply to user-initiated Enrich). When company credits are unavailable, manual Enrich is blocked and flow continues without enriching the contact; account enrichment continues with no credits. Deep Mode (help.gong.io Use Deep mode, Sep 30) shows an estimated 1,000-3,000 credits before each research on the same company pool; actuals land in the Credit usage report; requires Use Deep mode permission on Gong Foundation. Company pool (companion math): 2,000 credits/year per paid core seat, shared, contract-year reset; purchased credits explicit buy, expire end of term, no rollover; $ top-up blank for AE. Credit profiles: overall monthly limit and optional per-feature limits for Gong Enrich, Deep mode, and MCP; either profile or company pool can block; default Don't limit. Soft opens (do not invent): $ top-up rate; exact OF SKU strings; partner-side BYOK meter lines; Fortune-500 invent. Distinct from live /blog/gong-credits-shared-pool-mcp-trackers-order-form. Prefer help.gong.io Enrich/Deep Mode docs over PR provider-credits-first marketing. Meter is not accepted pipeline or revenue.

Decision rule

Refuse flow auto-enrich go-live until BYOK partners and Gong-provided partners are named on paper, the 1-credit-per-successful-email-or-phone rule (failed email validation still charges) is locked, account enrichment is budgeted at $0 Gong credits, Enrich and Deep Mode feature caps plus company pool / top-up ($ blank for AE) and chargeback owner are named, flow auto-enrich is flagged as outside personal monthly caps with a company-pool owner / kill switch, and the accepted-outcome blank is filled. Soft-open $ top-up, OF SKUs, and partner-side BYOK meters.

Evidence

  • help.gong.io/docs/how-enrich-consumes-credits (Sep 30): BYOK does not consume Gong credits; Gong-provided partners 1 credit per successful email or phone (per type); failed email validation still charges; no charge for empty/skip/error/account enrichment; flow ruleset Enrich same rules and not counted against individual monthly credit-profile limits
  • help.gong.io/docs/use-deep-mode (updated Sep 30): Deep Mode estimated range 1,000-3,000 credits before each research; actuals in Credit usage report; Use Deep mode permission; Gong Foundation
  • help.gong.io/docs/about-gong-credits: 2,000 credits/year per paid core seat shared pool; purchased no rollover; feature limits for Gong Enrich, Deep mode, and MCP; either profile or pool can block

Operator action

Today: name BYOK partners (partner bills you) and Gong-provided partners (1 credit per successful email or phone; failed validation still charges); lock account enrichment at $0 Gong credits; confirm company pool math (2,000 x paid core seats / year) and top-up posture ($ blank for AE); set Enrich and Deep Mode feature caps (note Deep Mode 1,000-3,000 estimate); flag flow auto-enrich as outside personal monthly caps with company-pool owner / kill switch; name chargeback owner across Enrich vs Deep Mode vs MCP; fill accepted-outcome blank before flow auto-enrich go-live.

Contents diagram for Gong Enrich Puts Contact Data on a BYOK-vs-Gong-Credits Waterfall, and Deep Mode Estimates 1,000–3,000 Credits per Research. Which Order Form Lines Do We Name Before Flow Auto-Enrich Goes Live?, listing the sections: Gong Enrich BYOK vs Gong Credits waterfall, Gong Enrich 1 credit email or phone, Gong Deep Mode 1000-3000 credits, Gong flow auto-enrich outside personal caps.

Enrich is dual-wallet: BYOK → partner bill; Gong-provided partners → Gong Credits (1 credit per successful email or phone return). Deep Mode shows 1,000-3,000 credits estimated before each research. Flow auto-enrich burns the company pool under the same Enrich rules and sits outside personal monthly caps. Name Enrich feature cap, Deep Mode feature cap, company pool / top-up, and chargeback owner before you turn flow auto-enrich on (How Enrich consumes credits; Use Deep mode).

Why now

Mission Callisto / Celebrate '26, Sep 30, 2026, 12:00 ET (~10:00 AM MT). Gong Enrich, Deep Mode, and expanded Dashboards are GA. Auto-triggered Custom Agents roll out later this year (PR). Enrich credit waterfall (LOCKED - Gong docs Sep 30)

Per How Enrich consumes credits. Prefer these docs over PR "provider credits first" marketing for Order Form math.

  • BYOK connections: results from a partner connected with your company's own key do not consume Gong credits. Your company is billed by that partner under your existing agreement.
  • Gong-provided partners: 1 Gong credit when a partner successfully returns an email or a phone (charged per type - requesting both can charge for both if both return). Credit still applies if a returned email fails validation (charge is tied to the partner returning data, not to validation pass). Gong then tries the next partner in the waterfall after a failed validation.
  • No Gong credit charge for: empty lookups (partner finds no data); partners skipped because an earlier partner already returned a result; connection / system errors; pre-query verification failure; account enrichment (runs with contact enrich; never consumes Gong credits).
  • Mix allowed: BYOK and Gong-provided partners in the same waterfall. Credits burn only on Gong-provided partner results.
Dual-wallet waterfall schematic — BYOK partner wallets (partner bill, $0 Gong credits) then Gong-provided partners (1 credit per successful email or phone; failed validation still charges) then Gong Credits pool; empty skip connection fail and account enrichment are $0
BYOK partner wallets (partner bills you) → Gong-provided partners → Gong Credits (1 credit per successful email or phone). Empty / skip / error / account enrich = $0 Gong credits.

Flow auto-enrich vs personal monthly caps (LOCKED)

Same credit rules for manual Enrich and flow ruleset Enrich (How Enrich consumes credits):

  • Flow ruleset auto-enrich is not counted against individual monthly credit-profile limits (those caps apply to user-initiated Enrich).
  • When company credits are unavailable: manual Enrich is blocked; flow continues without enriching the contact.
  • When credits hit zero: contact email/phone enrichment from data partners stops; account enrichment continues (no credits).

Deep Mode sink on the same company pool (LOCKED)

Per Use Deep mode (updated Sep 30):

  • Deep Mode is for complex strategic questions in Gong Assistant (win/loss, competitive, sentiment, QBR prep).
  • Before a run, Gong shows an estimated range of 1,000-3,000 credits.
  • Actual consumption follows complexity; admins see actuals in the Credit usage report.
  • Requires Use Deep mode permission; available on Gong Foundation.
  • Deep Mode is also listed as a credit feature alongside Enrich and MCP for feature limits on credit profiles (About Gong credits).

Company pool + credit profiles (LOCKED - companion math)

Same shared pool as the MCP/Trackers cite (About Gong credits; Create and manage credit profiles):

  • Each paid core seat: 2,000 credits/year, company-wide shared, contract-year reset.
  • Purchased credits: explicit buy; expire end of term; no rollover. $ top-up blank for AE.
  • Credit profiles: overall monthly limit and optional per-feature limits for Gong Enrich, Deep mode, and MCP.
  • Either the profile limit or the company pool can block when exhausted.
  • Default profile = Don't limit until you assign otherwise.

For Trackers/MCP on this same pool, see the companion shared-pool Order Form cite. This cite owns Enrich dual-wallet + Deep Mode 1k-3k + flow outside personal caps.

Order Form checklist for Gong Enrich and Deep Mode — Enrich feature cap, Deep Mode feature cap, company pool 2,000 times paid core seats with top-up blank for AE and no rollover, flow auto-enrich outside personal monthly caps, Deep Mode 1,000–3,000 estimate, accepted-outcome blank
Order Form checklist: Enrich feature cap / Deep Mode feature cap / company pool / flow auto-enrich outside personal caps / Deep Mode 1k-3k.

Update, Oct 2026: Gong changed its per-unit credit rates with no public notice (short calls 0.5 to 0.3 credits; new 10 credits per brief web search). See the dated update and the Order Form lines that freeze the rate card.

Soft opens (do not invent)

  • Dollar top-up rate for Gong Credits.
  • Exact Order Form SKU strings.
  • Which ZoomInfo / Apollo partner meter line burns on a BYOK hit (soft-open; see ZoomInfo MCP bulk vs AI action for ZoomInfo-side meters).
  • Celebrate stage screenshots as owned art (RAR recreate only).
  • Invented "Enrich credits per export" beyond the 1 credit per successful email or phone rule.

Distinct from live cites

Order Form / chargeback checklist

  1. BYOK partners named on paper (which wallets Enrich hits first; partner bills you - not Gong Credits).
  2. Gong-provided partners named; 1 credit per successful email or phone; failed email validation still charges.
  3. Account enrichment = $0 Gong credits (do not budget it as a credit sink).
  4. Company pool math: 2,000 × paid core seats / year; top-up quantity + no-rollover; $ blank for AE.
  5. Enrich feature cap on credit profiles (user-initiated Enrich).
  6. Deep Mode feature cap + note 1,000-3,000 estimate per research.
  7. Flow auto-enrich: same Enrich credit rules; outside personal monthly caps - name company-pool owner / kill switch.
  8. Chargeback owner for Enrich vs Deep Mode vs MCP on the shared pool.
  9. Accepted-outcome blank before flow auto-enrich go-live.

Proof Gap

  • PR "provider credits first" is not the LOCKED docs frame (BYOK vs Gong-provided + 1-credit rules). Prefer docs for OF math.
  • Personal monthly Enrich cap is not protection from flow auto-enrich burn.
  • Deep Mode estimate 1k-3k is not actual; check Credit usage report.
  • Meter is not accepted pipeline or revenue.

Who reviews which line (Eight-Seat lite)

  • RevOps / Platform: BYOK vs Gong-provided search order; Enrich and Deep Mode feature caps; flow auto-enrich kill switch; CRM writeback.
  • Sales: which contacts Enrich may touch; when Deep Mode is allowed.
  • Revenue Finance: company pool math (2,000 × core seats); purchased credit quantity and term; chargeback across Enrich vs Deep Mode vs MCP; $ top-up blank for AE.
  • Enablement: train the 1-credit email/phone rule and BYOK partner-bill path; gate flow auto-enrich until caps and owners exist.
  • Tech admin / Business admin: credit profiles, notifications, purchase path with the Gong account team; Use Deep mode permission.
