GTM engineer is the one human job title among the 35 AI terms we track on X. It drew 80 English posts a day from Oct 5 to 7, by exact X API count. Grok Bot drew 5,710. The job that wires AI into pipeline gets a sliver of the attention the tools get.

What the counts show
GTM engineer holds steady. The phrase drew 80 posts a day for Oct 5–7 and 70 for Oct 2–4. Single days ranged from 42 to 100. Small, and consistent across both periods. Exact X API counts, Oct 2–7.
Model routing is the bigger conversation next door. "Model routing" and its variants drew 193 posts a day for Oct 5–7 and 145 for Oct 2–4, with 306 on Oct 7 alone. That makes it the largest concept term on our chart. Routing decides which model handles which step of a workflow, and that choice sets the cost of each step. Exact X API counts, Oct 2–7.
The rest of the revenue vocabulary is smaller still. GTM context drew 37 posts a day, agentic GTM 31 and AI SDR 21 for Oct 5–7. The GTM context search also catches OriginTrail crypto posts.
What to do with this
- Name one owner for GTM engineering. Someone builds and maintains your agents, data flows and prompts today, often across RevOps and IT. Give that work a title, a manager and a budget line this quarter.
- Add model routing to every AI vendor review. Ask which model runs each step, who can change it, and what each step costs. Write the answers into the order form.
- Read these counts as early signals. Eighty posts a day is a small crowd. Check the trend against your own hiring and pipeline data before you reorganize anything.
Method and limits
Exact daily counts come from the X API recent counts endpoint, pulled Oct 8, 2026: English posts and replies, retweets excluded, averaged over full UTC days for Oct 2–4 and Oct 5–7, with analysis by The Revenue AI Report.
Both periods are partial weeks, chart weeks before October are sampled estimates that undercount, the GTM context search also catches OriginTrail crypto posts, and several terms have only two exact data points.
