How Many Flex Credits Does Salesforce Foundations Include, and When Do We Outgrow Them?
Foundations FAQ grants 200K Agentforce Flex credits to get started. Do not plan on the 450k marketing headline alone. One-time pilot tank, list math to about 10,000 standard actions, outgrow test before you treat Foundations as production budget.

The short answer
How many Agentforce Flex Credits does Foundations include?
Evidence
- The Proof Gap has a measured size Every GTM function adopted AI faster than it produced revenue. One dataset measures both sides in the same sample.
- Why do some pages say 450k? The same Salesforce Foundations page markets "450k Flex Credits included for Agentforce and Data 360" and notes Flex Credits are fungible across products. Plan Agentforce burn on the FAQ 200K line, then confirm Data 360 allotment on the Order Form. Same URL.

Salesforce Foundations is a $0 add-on path into Agentforce for eligible orgs. The FAQ on Salesforce's Foundations page is the number to put in the pilot worksheet: Foundations grants you 200K Agentforce Flex credits to get you started testing use cases and proof of concepts. Overage fees apply. Usage can be tracked in Digital Wallet. Source: salesforce.com/crm/foundations.
Do not confuse that FAQ line with the marketing headline on the same page that says "450k Flex Credits included for Agentforce and Data 360." Flex Credits are fungible across products under Salesforce's own note on that page, but the FAQ still separates the Agentforce grant (200K) from the rest of the Data 360 starting allotment. Build the RevOps pilot ceiling on the FAQ 200K Agentforce number, then ask the AE what else is on the Order Form for Data 360. Same URL.

Competitor SERP already owns this question. eesel AI, Mindblaze, Layer3 Labs, and MagicFuse all rank on "what is in the free Agentforce tier" with the 200,000 figure and the one-time-grant framing. Schematic, not a dataset. Source-cited charts live in the research library.
How Many Flex Credits Does Salesforce Foundations Include, and When Do We Outgrow Them?. Diagram showing Evidence, Analysis, Decision, Outcome.Use Salesforce list math only as the planning floor. Contracted rates beat list.
- Salesforce sells Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 on the Agentforce pricing page. Source: salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing.
- The Flex Credits Rate Card bills a standard or custom Agentforce action at 20 credits in production. Source: Flex Credits Rate Card PDF.
- At that card, 200,000 credits is about 10,000 standard production actions before the free grant is gone ($0.10 per action at the $500 / 100k list math).
- Voice actions bill 30 credits in production on the same rate card. If voice is in the pilot, re-run the ceiling with 30, not 20.
- Sandbox and scratch orgs are not free. The same rate card applies a sandbox multiplier (16 credits for standard/custom actions, 24 for voice). Budget UAT as its own line. Sibling decoder: Sandbox Flex Credits rate.
Competitors already translate 200K into burn-time examples (service teams exhausting the grant in weeks). Treat those as illustrations, not your forecast. Your Digital Wallet reading is the only number that closes the Proof Gap.
One-time grant, not a monthly refresh
eesel and Mindblaze both state the Foundations Flex Credit allocation is a one-time grant, not a monthly refresh. Salesforce's Foundations FAQ does not advertise a monthly top-up. It says the grant is to get you started testing use cases and proof of concepts, and that overage fees apply once you consume. Sources: eesel, Mindblaze, Foundations.
Operating rule: treat Foundations like a pilot fuel tank. When the tank hits empty, Digital Wallet does not stop the agent. Overages bill at contracted rates. Sibling decoder: Digital Wallet.
The outgrow test RevOps should run in week one
- Activate Foundations only if the org edition is eligible. Salesforce says availability varies and Enterprise-or-higher is the common gate in secondary explainers. Confirm eligibility before you promise a free pilot. Source: Foundations.
- Put Agentforce Flex Credits and Data 360 consumption on separate lines in the Digital Wallet review, even when marketing copy bundles a 450k headline.
- Sample 30 to 50 real or sandbox conversations for the first agent. Count billable actions the way the rate card will count them.
- Project days-to-empty: 200,000 divided by (mean actions per day times credits per action). Re-run at p90.
- Write kill criteria before the tank is half empty: metric, floor, measurement date, and what happens on a miss. Sibling decoder: AI SDR kill criteria.
- Activate Consumption Threshold Alerts at 75 percent, 90 percent, and 100 percent. Name one Salesforce admin who can disable the agent when the rule trips. Sibling decoder: Digital Wallet.
- Decide the paid path before day empty: Flex Credit packs at list ($500 / 100k), Conversations at $2 if that buying model wins the break-even worksheet, per-user add-ons, or an Agentforce 1 Edition bundle. Sibling decoder: Flex vs Conversations.
- Remember Data 360 can burn the same fungible Flex Credit pool your Agentforce forecast assumed was yours. Sibling decoder: Shared with Data 360.
Stale number to kill in any board deck
Older posts and even some of our own earlier decoder copy still say Foundations includes 100,000 Flex Credits. Mindblaze flags that the grant was doubled to 200,000, with 250,000 Data 360 credits added alongside. Always re-check the live Foundations FAQ before the AE call. Sources: Mindblaze, Foundations.

What to put in writing before the next AE call
- Confirmed Foundations eligibility and the Order Form lines for Agentforce Flex Credits and Data 360.
- The FAQ number you are planning against: 200K Agentforce Flex credits, not the 450k marketing headline alone.
- Observed mean and p90 actions per conversation for the pilot agent, with sample date.
- Days-to-empty at mean and p90, with credits-per-action from the current rate card.
- Alert thresholds, named disable owner, and written kill criteria.
- Named paid path when the grant is exhausted, with whether Conversations or Flex Credits wins the org-level fork.

- Overage fees apply. Digital Wallet tracks usage and can alert. It does not block execution by itself.
- Who is this for?
- Director+ revenue, RevOps, enablement, and finance owners running an Agentforce pilot who need the free-grant ceiling and the outgrow rule before they treat Foundations as production capacity.

Agentforce Pricing Explained: Credits, Licenses, and Total Cost
Agentforce is not one price. It is a stack of editions, entitlements, meters, and platform costs that only resolve into a number once you know which product you are buying. Here is how to work out which one you are looking at, and which question to ask next.

What Are Salesforce Core, Advanced, and Max Editions, and How Many Flex Credits Does Each Include?
On Sep 3, 2026 Salesforce published Core ($195), Advanced ($395), and Max ($550) per user/month for Agentforce Sales and Service, with org-level Flex Credit pools of 500,000 / 1 million / 2.75 million. Credits do not scale per seat. Legacy edition pricing stays for existing customers; Agentforce 1 can move to Max at no extra seat price.
