When Does Agentforce Help Agent Bill 400 Flex Credits for a Resolution?
A billed Help Agent resolution costs 400 Flex Credits at Salesforce list ($2). Escalation, negative feedback, or walk-away is not billed. Sandbox resolutions are 0 on the rate card. Data 360 and Agentforce actions stay unmetered during the Help Agent session.

The short answer
When does Agentforce Help Agent bill 400 Flex Credits ($2) for a resolution, and when is the session free?
Decision rule
Model Help Agent on estimated session volume times estimated autonomous resolution rate at 400 credits ($2 list) per billed resolution. Do not forecast it as 20-credit actions. Write the dispute report path before go-live, because Salesforce defines resolution by session rules, not by your case-close field.
Evidence
- Flex Credits Rate Card 08.31.2026: Help Agent Resolutions usage type is 400 credits in the production environment and 0 credits in the sandbox environment.
- Salesforce Agentforce pricing page lists Help Agent Resolutions at $2.
- Salesforce Ben interview with Prasad Raje, SVP Product for Agentforce Service, July 17 2026: a billable resolution needs at least two turns, no explicitly negative final feedback, and either no human escalation or explicitly positive feedback.
- Same interview: no variable cost for Agentforce actions or Data 360 queries during the Help Agent session, and dispute recourse is a full report with session counts, resolution metrics, and turn-by-turn transcripts.
Operator action
Open a Help Agent resolution forecast line at 400 credits ($2 list) times expected autonomous resolution rate. Name RevOps for Digital Wallet resolution counts, Service Ops for escalation rate, and Finance for the $2 list versus contracted reconciliation. Write the transcript and dispute request path into the contract pack before production.

The buyer question, stated cleanly for RevOps, GTM engineering, enablement, and revenue finance: when does Agentforce Help Agent bill 400 Flex Credits for a resolution, and when is the session free? The question matters because Help Agent does not meter the way the rest of Agentforce does. It bills an outcome, not a step.

- Help Agent Resolutions is its own usage type on the card: 400 credits in the production environment, 0 credits in the sandbox environment. Source: Salesforce Flex Credits Rate Card 08.31.2026.
- Salesforce's own pricing page lists Help Agent Resolutions at $2. Source: Agentforce pricing.
- List math for orientation only: 400 credits against the $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits list pack published elsewhere on this site equals $2, which matches the pricing page. Your contracted rate governs.

When Does Agentforce Help Agent Bill 400 Flex Credits for a Resolution?. Diagram showing Evidence, Analysis, Decision, Outcome.02 When Salesforce counts a billable resolution
Prasad Raje, SVP Product for Agentforce Service, laid out the rules in an interview with Henry Martin on July 17, 2026. Source: Salesforce Ben, complete guide to Agentforce pricing options.
- At least two turns of messages between user and agent. An abandoned single-turn session is not a resolution.
- Final feedback is not explicitly negative.
- Either the session concludes successfully without human escalation, or the final feedback is explicitly positive.
- When all three hold, the cost is exactly $2 or 400 Flex Credits. There is no variable cost for Agentforce actions or Data 360 queries consumed during that session.
- Session duration is bounded: 2 hours on messaging channels, 10 minutes on voice. If the session ran more than two turns with no feedback, no escalation, and the duration was exceeded, the inquiry is considered resolved and $2 is billed.
- If the customer asks for a human or walks away unhappy, there is no charge. Source: Salesforce Ben, pay per resolution.
- Dispute recourse exists: Salesforce describes a full report with session counts, resolution metrics, and turn-by-turn transcripts.
03 Why this opens a Proof Gap for RevOps
The Proof Gap is the distance between what a team claims an AI deployment cost or produced and what it can evidence at close. Help Agent widens it four ways.
- Teams forecast Help Agent as action burn at 20 credits and never open the 400-credit resolution line. The model is off by an order of magnitude per outcome.
- Salesforce owns the resolution definition. Your CRM case status is not the meter. A case you closed manually and a session Salesforce counted as resolved are two different numbers.
- Unmetered Data 360 and Agentforce actions during the session are good for cost and bad for parallel counting. If you do not keep your own session ledger, you cannot reconstruct what drove a billed resolution.
- Sandbox Help Agent Resolutions are 0 credits on the card. UAT resolution volume proves the flow works, not the production unit economics.
04 The RevOps operating rule
- Forecast line: expected session volume times expected autonomous resolution rate times 400 credits ($2 list). Replace list with your contracted rate as soon as the order form exists.
- Name three owners before go-live. RevOps owns Digital Wallet resolution counts. Service Ops owns escalation rate, because escalation is the free path and the deflection number at once. Finance owns the $2 list versus contracted reconciliation.
- Keep your own session ledger: session id, turn count, escalation flag, feedback value, and your case outcome. That ledger is how you audit a billed resolution you disagree with.
- Write the transcript and dispute request path into the contract pack. Ask in writing for the session counts, resolution metrics, and turn-by-turn transcripts Salesforce described.
- Review escalation rate weekly. A falling escalation rate raises billed resolutions, so cost and deflection move together and the board slide needs both.
- Do not present sandbox resolution volume as evidence of production cost. Sandbox is 0 on the card.
05 What this page is not
- It is not the Flex versus Conversation break-even worksheet. That is at the break-even worksheet.
- It is not the sandbox action multiplier page. Actions are 20 in production and 16 in sandbox, covered at the sandbox rate page. This page is the Help Agent Resolutions line at 400 and 0.
- It is not the arrears forecast and close model, which lives at Flex Credits forecast and close.
- It is not a price list. Order form wins.

- When does Help Agent bill 400 Flex Credits?
- When the session runs at least two turns between user and agent, final feedback is not explicitly negative, and it either concludes without human escalation or ends with explicitly positive feedback. That is a billable resolution at 400 Flex Credits, listed at $2 on the Agentforce pricing page. Source: https://www.salesforceben.com/complete-guide-to-agentforce-pricing-options/
- What is the sandbox rate for Help Agent Resolutions?
- Zero. The Flex Credits Rate Card updated 08.31.2026 lists Help Agent Resolutions at 400 credits in the production environment and 0 credits in the sandbox environment. UAT volume therefore proves the flow, not the production unit economics. Source: https://www.salesforce.com/en-us/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/assets/pdf/agentforce/Flex-Credits-Rate-Card-08.31.2026.pdf
- Are Agentforce actions and Data 360 metered during a Help Agent session?
- No. Salesforce states there is no variable cost for Agentforce actions or Data 360 queries during the Help Agent interaction. The resolution is the billed unit. Keep your own session ledger anyway, because unmetered usage is also uncounted usage. Source: https://www.salesforceben.com/huge-agentforce-pricing-shift-salesforce-introduces-pay-per-resolution/
- How is a resolution defined if the customer closes the tab?
- Session duration is bounded at 2 hours on messaging channels and 10 minutes on voice. If the session ran more than two turns with no feedback, no escalation, and the duration was exceeded, Salesforce considers the inquiry resolved and bills $2. A single-turn abandoned session is not billed. Source: https://www.salesforceben.com/complete-guide-to-agentforce-pricing-options/
- How does this differ from the $2 Conversation SKU and from Flex action metering?
- Flex action metering bills each Agentforce action, at 20 credits for standard and custom actions in production. The Conversation SKU bills a conversation. Help Agent Resolutions bills an outcome that meets the resolution rules, at 400 credits, with the actions inside that session unmetered. Forecasting Help Agent as action burn understates it per outcome.
- What dispute rights should we write before go-live?
- Put the report path in the contract pack: session counts, resolution metrics, and turn-by-turn transcripts, which is the recourse Salesforce described. Pair it with your own session ledger of turn count, escalation flag, feedback value, and case outcome so you can contest a billed resolution with evidence rather than opinion.

Agentforce Pricing Explained: Credits, Licenses, and Total Cost
Agentforce is not one price. It is a stack of editions, entitlements, meters, and platform costs that only resolve into a number once you know which product you are buying. Here is how to work out which one you are looking at, and which question to ask next.
Reality Check
What Are Salesforce Core, Advanced, and Max Editions, and How Many Flex Credits Does Each Include?
On Sep 3, 2026 Salesforce published Core ($195), Advanced ($395), and Max ($550) per user/month for Agentforce Sales and Service, with org-level Flex Credit pools of 500,000 / 1 million / 2.75 million. Credits do not scale per seat. Legacy edition pricing stays for existing customers; Agentforce 1 can move to Max at no extra seat price.
