Slack Now Lists Enterprise+ at $45 a Seat, 3x Business+. Is Uncapped Slackbot Worth $30 a Month?

The short answer
Slack now lists Enterprise+ at $45 per user per month, 3x Business+, and caps Slackbot on Business+ at 15 messages a week with Flex Credits overage. How do we decide between the two and what goes on the Order Form?
Decision rule
No Enterprise+ upgrade for Slackbot alone until per-user usage shows reps running more than about 150 standard actions a month over the Business+ cap.
Evidence
- Slack pricing page (retrieved Oct 7 2026): Enterprise+ "$45 USD per user / month, when paying annually" with a Contact Sales button; Business+ $15 annual, $18 monthly; Pro $7.25 annual, $8.75 monthly. Enterprise search, Discovery API, audit logs, legal holds, native DLP, and information barriers listed on Enterprise+ only.
- Slack Help, Slackbot limits and credit usage (retrieved Oct 7 2026): Business+ members "can send 15 messages to Slackbot per week"; Enterprise+ members "are not subject to weekly or lifetime message limits"; Flex Credits can buy more usage on Free, Pro, or Business+ with a connected Salesforce org; three automatic task runs per day; 30 days' written notice before usage-based pricing for advanced Slackbot capabilities released after June 2026.
- Salesforce Flex Credits Rate Card 08.31.2026: Slackbot Standard Action multiplier 40, Slackbot Advanced Action multiplier 200, per Slack workspace; Agentforce Standard Action 20. "Usage types, tiers, and associated multipliers may be updated from time to time."
- Salesforce Agentforce pricing page (retrieved Oct 7 2026): Flex Credits $500 per 100,000 credits.
- PricingSaaS Pulse: Slack's Enterprise+ price change first detected Oct 4 2026, from "Contact sales for pricing" to $45 per user per month billed annually.
Operator action
This week: export Slackbot message counts per user for the last 30 days. Count users over 15 a week. Price those users at Business+ plus Flex Credits overage and compare with Enterprise+ at $45 before your next Slack renewal call.

What the extra $30 buys
- Slackbot with no weekly cap. Business+ members can send 15 messages to Slackbot per week. The count resets at 12 a.m. Monday in each user's time zone. Enterprise+ members have no weekly or lifetime message limit, subject to Slack's usage policies (Slackbot limits).
- Enterprise search. Search across connected apps, databases, and systems. Listed on Enterprise+ only.
- Discovery API. Approved third-party apps can export or act on messages and files. Enterprise+ only.
- Compliance lines. Audit logs, legal holds, native data loss prevention, information barriers, and HIPAA support. Enterprise+ only on Slack's comparison table.
- Support. 24/7 priority support with a 4-hour first response.

Slack Now Lists Enterprise+ at $45 a Seat, 3x Business+. Is Uncapped Slackbot Worth $30 a Month?. Diagram showing Evidence, Analysis, Decision, Outcome. The meter under Business+
A Business+ user who hits 15 messages has two choices. Wait for Monday, or run on Salesforce Flex Credits. Flex Credits work only if a Salesforce org is connected and both a Slack admin and a Salesforce admin switch them on. Slack bills that usage at the Flex Credits rate card (Slackbot limits).
The Aug 31 2026 rate card sets a Slackbot Standard Action at 40 credits and a Slackbot Advanced Action at 200 credits, per Slack workspace (Flex Credits rate card). Salesforce lists Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 (Agentforce pricing). That is $0.20 per standard Slackbot action and $1.00 per advanced action at list. An Agentforce standard action is 20 credits, or $0.10. A standard Slackbot action costs twice that.
Agentforce draws on Flex Credits too. If Slackbot overage and your agents share one org, they share one budget. Name the owner before both teams find out at month end. Same problem as Flex Credits shared with Data 360 and Flex Credits chargeback by business unit.
The break-even math
The seat gap is $30 per user per month at list. At $0.20 per standard action, a Business+ user can run 150 standard Slackbot actions over the cap each month before Enterprise+ is cheaper on Slackbot alone. At $1.00 per advanced action, the break-even is 30. The cap itself covers 15 messages a week, about 65 a month.
One catch. Slack does not publish how many actions one message uses. If a single message fans out into several actions, the break-even comes sooner. Ask for the mapping and a usage report that shows it.

For 100 reps on annual terms, Business+ lists $18,000 a year and Enterprise+ lists $54,000. The $36,000 gap buys uncapped Slackbot plus the search and compliance lines. If Legal needs the Discovery API and legal holds anyway, the upgrade may already be paid for. If 15 messages a week covers most reps, keep Business+ and pay overage for the few heavy users.
Microsoft made the same move this month. New Microsoft 365 Copilot Business seats get usage billing on by default with a cap of 4,000 Copilot Credits per user per month (Microsoft Partner Center), about $40 at $0.01 a credit (CRN). Two vendors, one pattern: a seat with a meter under it. See Copilot USL vs credits and HubSpot seats and credits.
Fine print to watch
- New features may get a new meter. Slack says advanced Slackbot capabilities released after June 2026, such as third-party content creation and automated actions, may move to usage limits, consumption pricing, or a hybrid. It promises 30 days' written notice before usage pricing takes effect.
- Task runs. Unlimited tasks, three automatic runs per day. After that, users run them by hand.
- Free and Pro. Slackbot only during a trial or preview, unless Flex Credits are on.
- Legacy plans. Legacy Business+ with the Slack AI add-on gets the same Slackbot limits as the new Business+. Enterprise Select and Enterprise Grid with the Slack AI add-on have no weekly message limit.
- Rate card changes. The rate card says multipliers "may be updated from time to time."
Order Form lines for Slack Enterprise+ and Slackbot
- Start from $45. The list price is public. Open the discount talk from $45 annual and get the per-seat rate in writing.
- Usage before seats. Pull per-user Slackbot counts for 30 days. Price Business+ plus overage for heavy users against Enterprise+ for everyone.
- Actions per message. Get a written definition of how many standard or advanced actions one Slackbot message can use, and a report that shows it.
- Lock the multipliers. Hold 40 credits per standard and 200 per advanced Slackbot action for the term.
- Pool cap and owner. Slackbot overage spends Flex Credits from the Salesforce org. Set a monthly cap and a chargeback owner before Slackbot and Agentforce compete for the same pool.
- Who flips the switch. Name the Slack admin and Salesforce admin who can enable Flex Credits for Slackbot. No one else.
- Notice becomes a right. Turn Slack's 30-day notice on new usage pricing into a contract term: written notice, opt-out, and off by default.
- Price the lines you need. If Legal needs the Discovery API, legal holds, or audit logs, make those the reason for Enterprise+. Uncapped Slackbot is the bonus.

Who owns which line
- Procurement: the $45 anchor, locked multipliers, and the notice clause.
- RevOps and IT: per-user Slackbot counts, the actions-per-message definition, and the Flex Credits switch.
- Revenue Finance: the pool cap and chargeback.
- Legal: whether Discovery API, legal holds, and audit logs are required. That answer may settle the plan.
Soft opens
- All prices are list. Enterprise deals discount, and pre-purchased Flex Credits may cost less than $500 per 100,000.
- The $45 sits next to a Contact Sales button. Treat it as a list anchor.
- The break-even assumes one Slackbot message bills as one action. Slack has not published that mapping.
- Slack has not said whether existing Enterprise Grid contracts will be repriced to $45.
