What Is AIforce, and How Does It Relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?
AIforce is Salesforce's live interface layer that brings CRM data, workflows, logic, and permissions to any AI interface. It sits on top of Data 360, Customer 360, and Agentforce. Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker are the first three surfaces. Open beta for Claudeforce is not GA; the product page is stale versus the Sep 15 announcement.

The short answer
What is AIforce, and how does it relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?
Decision rule
Treat AIforce as the interface layer and Agentforce as the digital-workforce layer. Do not flatten Claudeforce, Slackforce, or Coworker into one SKU. Prefer the Sep 15 AIforce announcement over the Claudeforce product page when they conflict on availability. Do not budget a price until Salesforce publishes packaging in writing.
Evidence
- Salesforce AIforce announcement (Sep 15, 2026): AIforce is a live interface layer bringing Salesforce data, workflows, logic, and permissions to any AI interface.
- Same announcement: Agentic Enterprise layers are Data 360 (context), Customer 360 (app and semantic intelligence), Agentforce (digital workforce), and AIforce (bring that foundation to any AI interface).
- Same announcement: AIforce launching with Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker.
- Same announcement: Claudeforce / Salesforce in Claude includes 37 prebuilt sales skills; piloted by Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora; now available to all customers in beta (not called GA).
- Same announcement: Slackforce covers Surfaces, Slackbot, Slack CRM, and Slack Code; Agentforce Coworker is the Lightning AI teammate with 100,000 users activated in the first 35 days.
- Same announcement: Pricing and packaging are subject to change; availability may vary by region.
- Source conflict: https://www.salesforce.com/claudeforce/ still frames pilot and open beta planned for September; prefer the AIforce newsroom story for current availability status.
- Salesforce Koa announcement (Sep 16, 2026): Koa is Salesforce's first enterprise reasoning model, co-engineered with NVIDIA from Nemotron 3 Super, running inside the Salesforce trust boundary and currently in limited customer pilots.
Operator action
Put the four names on one slide for leadership: AIforce is the interface layer, Agentforce is the digital workforce, and Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Coworker are surfaces. Ask the AE which surface is in beta for your org, what edition gate applies, and what bills where, in writing. Do not treat the Claudeforce product page as current if it still says pilot only.

Competitors and coverage are already flattening AIforce, Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce into one buzzword. Four names, four different things, one procurement conversation that goes sideways when nobody can say which is which. The argument
How this reality check breaks down
A map of the sections ahead, in the order the case is made. Schematic, not a dataset. Source-cited charts live in the research library.
Contents diagram for What Is AIforce, and How Does It Relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?, listing the sections: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06.01. What AIforce is
Salesforce describes AIforce as a live interface layer: it brings Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, semantics, permissions, security, and governance to any AI interface. The direction of travel is the part operators keep getting backwards. Salesforce is not pulling users into Salesforce. Salesforce is going to Claude, to Slack, and to Lightning, and carrying the governance model with it. Source: AIforce announcement.
The announcement frames these as composable live interfaces rather than static screens, and calls out Zero Data Retention. That last point is the one your security reviewer will ask about first, so quote it from the announcement rather than from a deck.

What Is AIforce, and How Does It Relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?
Schematic, not a dataset. Source-cited charts live in the research library.
What Is AIforce, and How Does It Relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?. Diagram showing Evidence, Analysis, Decision, Outcome.02. Where it sits in the stack
The announcement lays out the Agentic Enterprise in layers. Use these four and add nothing.
- Data 360: context.
- Customer 360: application and semantic intelligence.
- Agentforce: the digital workforce.
- AIforce: brings that foundation to any AI interface.
So AIforce does not replace Agentforce. It is the layer that lets the rest of the stack show up somewhere other than a Salesforce tab. If a vendor or an internal deck tells you AIforce is the new Agentforce, that deck is wrong against the primary source.
03. Claudeforce
Claudeforce, named in the announcement as Salesforce in Claude, ships with 37 prebuilt sales skills. Salesforce says it was piloted by companies including Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora, and is now available to all customers in beta. Beta is the word used. GA is not. Source: AIforce announcement.
The buying question and the metering question are separate pages: Claudeforce, wait or buy and two contracts, two meters.
04. Slackforce
Slackforce brings Salesforce context into Slack. The announcement names four components: Surfaces, Slackbot, Slack CRM, and Slack Code. Treat those as the component list until Salesforce publishes more, and do not assume any of them carries the same entitlement as Claudeforce. Source: AIforce announcement.
05. Agentforce Coworker
Agentforce Coworker is the AI teammate inside the Lightning interface. Salesforce describes it as reasoning across accounts, activity, and history within existing permissions, and reports 100,000 users activated in the first 35 days. Source: AIforce announcement.
Activated users is an adoption count, not an outcome. It tells you the surface got switched on. It does not tell you what changed in pipeline, and no number in the announcement does.
06. Koa changes the reasoning layer, not the AIforce map
On Sep 16, Salesforce announced Koa, its first reasoning model optimized for enterprise work. Salesforce says it co-engineered Koa with NVIDIA by post-training the open Nemotron 3 Super model, runs it inside the Salesforce trust boundary, and is testing it with a small customer pilot across service, sales, and commerce.
Do not redraw the stack. Koa is a reasoning model used to run Agentforce processes. AIforce is still the interface layer. Salesforce says Koa is moving into customer pilots, not GA, and the announcement publishes no separate Koa list price. A pilot benchmark is not a production outcome.
Full Koa decoder, including the availability line, the deploy paths, and the four questions for your AE: What is Salesforce Koa, and is it GA for Agentforce?.
07. Source conflict: product page versus newsroom
As of this review, the Claudeforce product page still frames pilot and open beta planned for September, while the Sep 15 newsroom story says available to all customers in beta. Two Salesforce URLs, two availability statements. Prefer the newsroom story until the product page catches up, and say so in writing when someone forwards you the product page as proof.
Secondary demand note only: Salesforce Ben's Dreamforce coverage has described open beta access via an AppExchange form plus org ID. That is secondary. The newsroom announcement remains the availability authority here, and Ben is not treated as one.
What this page is not
- Not a price list. Salesforce states pricing and packaging are subject to change, and availability may vary by region.
- Not a GA claim. Beta is the word in the announcement.
- Not a recommendation to buy. The wait-or-buy call lives in the sibling decoder.
- Not a change to our positioning. This is a taxonomy page for buyers.

- What is AIforce, and how does it relate to Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Slackforce?
- AIforce is Salesforce's live interface layer that brings Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, semantics, permissions, security, and governance to any AI interface (Claude, Slack, Lightning, and more). In the Agentic Enterprise stack, Data 360 is context, Customer 360 is application and semantic intelligence, Agentforce is the digital workforce, and AIforce brings that foundation to any AI interface. AIforce launched with three surfaces: Claudeforce (Salesforce in Claude), Slackforce (Salesforce context in Slack), and Agentforce Coworker (AI teammate in Lightning). Claudeforce is available to all customers in beta as of the Sep 15, 2026 announcement, and is not called GA. Pricing and packaging are subject to change.
- Is Claudeforce generally available?
- No. The Sep 15, 2026 AIforce announcement says Salesforce in Claude / Claudeforce is available to all customers in beta after pilots with Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora. It is not called GA. Source: https://www.salesforce.com/news/stories/aiforce-announcement/
- Does AIforce replace Agentforce?
- No. Salesforce positions AIforce as an additional layer that brings the existing foundation, including Agentforce, to any AI interface. Source: https://www.salesforce.com/news/stories/aiforce-announcement/
- What is Slackforce?
- Slackforce brings Salesforce context into Slack via Surfaces, Slackbot, Slack CRM, and Slack Code, per the AIforce announcement. Source: https://www.salesforce.com/news/stories/aiforce-announcement/
- What is Agentforce Coworker?
- An AI teammate in the Lightning interface that reasons across accounts, activity, and history within existing permissions; the announcement says 100,000 users activated in the first 35 days. Source: https://www.salesforce.com/news/stories/aiforce-announcement/
- Why does the Claudeforce product page disagree with the announcement?
- As of this review, https://www.salesforce.com/claudeforce/ still frames pilot and open beta planned for September, while the Sep 15 newsroom story says available to all customers in beta. Prefer the AIforce announcement for availability status until the product page is updated.
- What is Salesforce Koa, and is it part of AIforce?
- Koa is Salesforce's first CRM reasoning model for Agentforce, co-engineered with NVIDIA from Nemotron 3 Super. It is not part of AIforce: AIforce is the interface layer, Agentforce is the digital workforce, and Koa is a reasoning model option that can power Agentforce processes. The Sep 15, 2026 press release says Koa is available to select pilot customers now, with general availability expected winter 2026 in U.S. regions, so it is not GA. Agentforce Pricing Explained: Credits, Licenses, and Total Cost
Agentforce is not one price. It is a stack of editions, entitlements, meters, and platform costs that only resolve into a number once you know which product you are buying. Here is how to work out which one you are looking at, and which question to ask next.
Reality Check
What Are Salesforce Core, Advanced, and Max Editions, and How Many Flex Credits Does Each Include?
On Sep 3, 2026 Salesforce published Core ($195), Advanced ($395), and Max ($550) per user/month for Agentforce Sales and Service, with org-level Flex Credit pools of 500,000 / 1 million / 2.75 million. Credits do not scale per seat. Legacy edition pricing stays for existing customers; Agentforce 1 can move to Max at no extra seat price.
